C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
Hey y’all! So, I’m sitting here at work waiting on my boss to get here to tell me what my projects are for this week and I started thinking about some stuff. You know, I really can’t stress enough how much a kind word or a word of approval means to someone. Let’s not forget who we’re made in the image of. Our God spoke everything that is into existence. God wanted light so he spoke light into being. In the same way, I believe that we have the ability to speak things into our life as well as the lives of those who surround us everyday. It doesn’t take much. It doesn’t require a doctorate in English or a specialization in Greek or Latin. Simple things such as letting someone who you see every single day know how much they mean to you. Sounds weird perhaps, but I believe it’s the way God intended us to live. You see, God doesn’t take anyone for granted. Spend even a moment in His presence and that’s made clear. He loves reminding us how much He loves us. He knows that it’s something that we must do intentionally because we as humans often tend to take those for granted whom we really care the most about. I know it’s not everyones personality to be super affectionate or outgoing, that’s fine. It doesn’t give you a license to not care though, it just makes it a little bit more difficult for you than some.
Anyways, I hope that you guys have an awesome and blessed Monday!
I am so blessed to be a part of a culture that honors the leaders God has put over us. It shows the love that Christ always intended for His bride, the Church, to carry for herself. When we honor the other people at our church we are ultimately honoring Christ, who then in turn honors the Father. It’s a cycle that we as the church must have and in fact are powerless without.
I fall more in love every time I look into my savior’s eyes. That’s where I want to dwell, forever lost in His peace and embrace.
